The permanent museum is located inside the spectacular Fortress of Matilde di Canossa in Bazzano, just a few kilometres from Bologna.

The museum of “Cavalieri Etruschi” (“Etruscan Knights”) has been set up inside large medieval rooms. Archaeological findings were discovered in the surrounding area extending from Sasso Marconi to Savignano s.P.

In collaboration with Architect Paola Gialdini, OASS was responsible for the creation and construction of the display cabinets.

These display cabinets in brushed iron and fitted with extra clear glass, have a special lighting system which creates a play of lights in such a way as not to create shadows on the lower floors.

The doors, which appear to be sealed shut, are in fact fitted with hidden hinges and locks
